The Mind behind the metal

ABOUT ASHTON TURNER

Ashton Turner is a South-Florida based contemporary sculptor known for transforming steel wire and repurposed materials into intricate, expressive works of art. A self-taught artist, Ashton creates sculptures that explore movement, emotion, and form, often capturing a sense of life and motion within traditionally rigid materials.

His body of work ranges from figurative sculpture to wildlife and imaginative forms, with each piece shaped by hand through an intuitive and highly detailed process. His work has been selected for juried exhibitions and displayed in galleries and art events throughout Florida, including the Mount Dora Arts Festival.

In addition, to his independent body of work, Turner accepts select private and commercial commissions, creating original sculptures developed around a client’s vision, subject, or space. His commissioned work includes custom pieces for South Florida businesses, with an expanding focus on site-specific sculpture for collectors, hospitality spaces, organizations, and design professionals.

Turner continues to develop a distinctive sculptural language centered on transformation-taking Industrial materials and giving them new movement, character, and purpose.
